We’re asking for a favor. Simple prayer. We are not talking about just saying you’re thinking about us, and telling us that you’re going to be praying for us, and then you forget. We all know how that is, right? We tell someone we’ll be praying for them to make them feel better, and then move on with our lives like it was no big deal. But prayer is a big deal. A HUGE deal. Prayer is talking intimately with the Creator of the Universe!! How cool is it that the Most High wants to have a personal relationship with us where we call out to Him with our biggest praise and smallest needs. He cares about it all. Why don’t we do it more often??
So no, we don’t want lip service. We challenge you (and us!) to intentional prayer. We want you calling out to God on our behalf. And feel free to do it on your knees, that always requires intention!
We are nearing the end of our home study for our international adoption. Our home study cannot be completed without knowing which country in the world we will be adopting from. We have been back and forth and up and down on which country to go with. Some are not options for us at all, and some are not good options. Some are good options but not obtainable. It seems like we have a country picked out and then God closes a door, but then opens another door right at the last moment. But then He closes that door just to open another. It is really clear to us that we are not in control of this and the Lord is definitely leading us. We just can’t figure out where and we can’t understand a lot of this right now. This adoption process is the most trying process we have ever been through in our lives, and we are only at the beginning stages! We won’t go into all the details right now, but we will share more later.
All that to say, we would really appreciate your prayer for guidance, clarity, patience, and peace. Thank you to so many of you who have been praying for us regularly. We feel it and we know God is using that, because it is evident to us that He is up to something! We are very excited to see where this takes us, and we thank you for coming along on this journey with us!
