This post is only 3 weeks late, but at the level of “behindness” that this girl is at right now, I figure that’s not bad! Compared to most other things, that’s pretty much right on time! And yes, “behindness” is a word. I just made it a word.
A little over two weeks ago Andrew turned two. Don’t ask me where those two years went, because I have no idea. I don’t know what happened between the baby coos in his bouncer and him running around riding a toddler bike. I just took his crib down and changed it to a toddler bed 5 days ago. Whaaat?! Why does this have to happen?? Excuse me while I bawl like a baby that I don’t have anymore!
The only good thing about having more birthdays is that it’s another excuse to have a bunch of our friends over and eat food. So that’s what we did!
It was a beautiful day, so we took everything over to the park right by our house and grilled out. Grant dominated the charcoal grill (with the help of some starter fluid), and the kids played like crazy!
And then we got to Drew’s favorite part – EATING!
I’m not sure if it’s dirt or chocolate cake all over his hands and face. Eh. We’ll call it chocolate cake. No sense in sweating the small stuff. Dirt’s like one of the food groups for little boys anyway, isn’t it?
We had a great time with some close friends just having a nice laid back evening. Thanks and no thanks for turning two, Drew!
