Days 7 & 8

Monday was kind of a low- key day and there really wasn’t much to report.  Our social worker stopped by our cottage to see how things were going and see how our girl has been adjusting/attaching.  She is responsible for writing a report for court in support of this adoption, so it’s crucial that she is satisfied with what she is seeing.  She had absolutely no concerns and thought that our daughter was attaching beautifully so far.

Tuesday morning we found a fun play place for our little girl to play at.  This place had all sorts of indoor and outdoor toys/activities for kids and they had young ladies hired to play with the kiddos.  While they did that, parents could sit on the porch and watch their kids, drink tea, do Pilates/yoga in the studio or get their nails done in the salon.  Really cool place!  We were there bright and early and stuck with our girl the whole time (Grant wasn’t feeling too up to yoga at the time).

After that we got a few items for a donation to our daughter’s baby care center that we will give to them as we say goodbye to everyone after court tomorrow.

We then stopped to eat at a restaurant called South Dakota Spur.  We did a double take when we saw the sign and couldn’t say no!

We then came home in time to get our girl down for a nap and welcome our attorney to our cottage for a visit.  He lives/works in Cape Town and had to fly in to represent us in court tomorrow.  He went over what will happen in the morning at court and then the rest of our process from here until we come home.  We feel much better after meeting with him and can’t wait to fly to Cape Town at the end of the week for next steps!

We can’t wait to make our family of five official tomorrow!  Get ready for pictures to come!!
